Mechanical and Metallurgical Characterization
Our destructive testing laboratories are at the core of AMTC's expertise. Equipped with advanced instruments and regularly calibrated, we conduct rigorous tests to characterize the mechanical behavior of your metallic materials and welded assemblies.
Our services include:
- Tensile tests (ambient and high temperature)
- Impact bend tests (Charpy V and U at different temperatures)
- Bend and hardness tests (Vickers, Brinell, Rockwell)
- Macrographic and micrographic examinations
Each specimen is prepared in our in-house machining workshop to guarantee strict tolerances.
Workshop and Precision Machining
The quality of a mechanical test depends directly on specimen preparation accuracy. AMTC operates a dedicated workshop with machine tools (lathes, milling machines, saws, grinders) exclusively used for machining samples extracted from your plates, tubes, or welded assemblies. Our workshop ensures dimensions that strictly comply with international standards (ASME IX, ISO 15614, ASTM A370).
